Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd September

Further details coming soon.

We wanted the focus of the ACF to be as much as possible on riding bikes and getting advice through workshops. Having said that, there is nothing that gets you more amped to go on a two wheeled adventure than listening to an inspirational speaker. We have brought together some of the adventure cycling world's finest speakers to deliver incredible presentations from the main marquee throughout the weekend.

The Highland Trail 550 is quickly becoming seen as one of the most challenging self-supported off-road bikepacking events in the world. 2017 will see Pete McNeil from Adventure Pedlars attempting the route, and he has kindly agreed to give us an account of his experience on his way back to their Peaks HQ.

Greg May is a regular contributor to Grit.CX who set off to ride the Tour Divide last year, a 2,745-mile mountain bike race from Banff, Canada, through the Rocky Mountains of the U.S., to the border of Mexico. He will detail his ride from the preparation and training through to the actual race and the hurdles he had to overcome to cross the finish line.

Sunday lunchtime will see Julie Rand and Alex Cuppleditch from CyclingUK (ex CTC) take centre stage.

In January 2016 Joss Livesey, from set off on an ambitious, world first, man-powered, 17,000-mile journey to the highest point of all 42 sovereign states of continental Europe, traveling as high as possible by bike and continuing on foot when the road ended. Joss will be at the festival delivering a presentation on the journey, from the highs (pun intended) to the lows.
